Before pursuing a career in law, Helen was a counselor and advocate for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking in New York's Asian American community. She organized local public education events and participated in nationwide projects to promote awareness of issues ranging from pro-choice to minority rights.
Currently Helen practices in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense. She has managed litigation cases on various subjects matters, including contract disputes, real property disputes, foreclosures, family law, criminal defense, and administrative cahrges.
